Homework

At Grenoside Community Primary School we value homework as a means of independent learning and consolidation of learning taking place in school.  At the start of a new topic, pupils and their families receive a topic web which indicates what will be taught.  We hope this helps parents who wish to support their child through family days out or questions about the learning at school.

Homework is very much age related and will steadily increase with the age of the pupil.  Homework is set on regular days and, where possible a number of days are available for the completion of work.

We encourage pupils to be responsible for their own learning and homework however we appreciate the support of parents in providing an appropriate place and time to complete the work.

If you have any questions concerning the homework please speak with your child’s teacher.
